The 349-bed hospital is a full-service acute care and surgical facility that has served the Puget Sound region for more than 50 years. Delivering nearly 4,000 babies annually, the hospital’s childbirth center is home to a level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), private birthing suites, cesarean section operating rooms and ongoing new family educational programs.

Bellevue is located in King County, Washington. It is home to more than 122,000 residents.

Thanks to its proximity to Redmond, which is home to Microsoft, Nintendo, Bungie Games Studios and Valve Corporation, much of the city’s economy is powered by small and large technology businesses. Bellevue’s thriving commercial centers also play a major role in the city’s economy.

Bellevue is served by King County Metro and Sound Transit, East Link light rail line, several major highways and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Arts and Entertainment

French for “beautiful view,” Bellevue’s outdoor attractions do justice to the city’s name. Bellevue residents enjoy visiting the area’s national parks, ziplining, kayaking, hiking, climbing, canoeing, paddle boarding, skiing, snowshoeing, swimming, running, picnicking, biking and more. Bellevue is home to more than100 public parks as well as several golf courses and clubs.

The city’s arts and culture scene is shaped by attractions like the Bellevue Arts Museum, the Theatre at Meydenbauer Center, Downtown Bellevue Art Walk, the Eastside Heritage Center, as well as numerous galleries and museums.

Popular local attractions include Bellevue Downtown Park, the city’s five major shopping districts, KidsQuest Children’s Museum and bountiful local farmers’ markets. Just a short drive away are Seattle’s iconic landmarks, such as the Space Needle and Seattle Zoo.

The region is also home to more than 90 wineries as well as craft breweries, distilleries and tasting rooms.

Each year, Bellevue hosts several major events, including the Wintergrass bluegrass festival, Cultural Crossroads Festival, Bellevue Jazz and Blues Festival, Eastside Heritage Center’s Strawberry Festival, Bellevue’s Four on the 4th Dog Jog & Walk, Bellevue Arts Fair, Old Bellevue’s Taste of Main, Fashion Week at the Bellevue Collection, Bellevue Magic Season, and Snowflake Lane and Celebration Lane.

Education

Bellevue is served by the Bellevue School District as well as several private schools.

Institutions of higher education include Bellevue College and City University of Seattle.
