Clearwater is located in Pinellas County, Florida, northwest of St. Petersburg and Tampa, east of the Gulf of Mexico and north of Tampa Bay. It is home to more than 107,000 residents and is part of the Tampa Bay Area.

Clearwater is conveniently located near the Tampa International Airport as well as the St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport.

Clearwater hosts a number of community and family events, including the Imagine International Film Festival, Sea-Blues Seafood and Blues Festival, Fun N Sun Festival, Clearwater Celebrates America, Clearwater Jazz Holiday, Hispanic Heritage Festival and Superboat International Championship.
The city is home to spring training facilities for the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball and their affiliates, the Clearwater Threshers.
There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature in Clearwater, including the 51-acre Moccasin Lake Nature Park, the Moccasin Lake Environmental Education Center, five public pools, and miles of white sand and crystal-clear water at the area's famous beaches.
