San Luis Obispo (SLO) is located in San Luis Obispo County, California, halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles. SLO is in the heart of Central Coast Wine Country, between the Pacific Ocean and the Coast Range.
With one of the highest rates of college-educated residents in California, the city is home to California Polytechnic State University and Cuesta College. Dubbed "America's Happiest City" by Oprah Winfrey, SLO's 45,000 residents enjoy 315 sunny days a year.
