Mountain View is located in Santa Clara County, California. It gets its name for its beautiful views of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Home to more than 75,000 residents, Mountain View is located on the southern part of the San Francisco Peninsula, just 35 miles south of San Francisco and 10 miles north of San Jose.
