Confident at the Controls as We Touch Down on 2017

By Kristine Hartvigsen on January 1st, 2017

“The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot.”

– Motivational Speaker Michael Altshuler

As you read this, the first baby of 2017 already has been born, delivered by capable hands and lovingly placed, skin-to-skin, in her mother’s arms. It is just one of countless happy outcomes that will play out regularly throughout 2017 with the help of dedicated, highly skilled physicians and nurse-midwives.

Ob Hospitalist Group (OBHG) saw a number of milestones in 2016.

We celebrated our 10th anniversary. We welcomed our 100th partner hospital. We saw our national network expand into 27 states. And we’re still growing.

Reflecting on 2016, we witnessed dramatic change all around us. We saw change in the leadership of our country, in the management of new disease outbreaks, in healthcare finance, and more. How we respond to change makes all the difference. Do we see hardship, or do we see opportunity? OBHG understands the challenges, but we also embrace new opportunities and are adapting to a fluid healthcare environment by developing more flexible, customized, hospitalist-based and operational solutions.

Amid all this change, one thing has remained constant — our OBHG core values. As people around the world make resolutions, we remain resolute in our commitment to elevate the standard of women’s healthcare. Our core values are our passion for people, our commitment to delivering excellence, our spirit of genuine service, our principled leadership, and our uncompromised integrity. These values we hold dear. They are our foundation.

OBHG embraces the healthcare transformation that is occurring in our country and will exercise continuing agility as we lead our programs into 2017 and beyond. It’s true that time flies. But with the proper values and drive, we absolutely control our flight path. You do, too.

Happy New Year from Ob Hospitalist Group.
