Beginning in July 2014, OBHG hospital partner, Osceola Regional Medical Center will launch an obstetrics and gynecology residency program approved by the American Osteopathic Association, the hospital announced last week. The residency will be a four-year program with two residents per year.

The announcement follows the hospital’s recent accreditation for an internal medicine residency program sponsored by the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.

Osceola Regional’s graduate medical programs aim to help close the gap on the shortage of doctors in Florida, according to the Florida Department of Health.
