Ob Hospitalist Group physicians Dr. Peter Genaris, Dr. David Lang, Dr. Elliot Roberts, and our entire Bellevue Hospital team were recently recognized by medical students and OB/GYN residents for their exceptional contributions to clinical education.

We are incredibly proud to congratulate these outstanding leaders who have helped mentor and inspire the next generation of dedicated women's health care professionals.

Dr. Peter Genaris, a hospitalist at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri, was recently selected by the Family Medicine residents as the Volunteer Faculty of the Year for 2019. OBHG Site Director Dr. Deborah Bredestege said, “He is very deserving of this honor and I hope you'll share in my congratulating him on his achievement.”

Congratulations to Dr. David Lang of Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, who was recently named Teacher of the Year by the Iowa Medical Education Collaborative's post-graduate year 2 students.

Dr. Elliott Roberts, Site Director at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee, was named Outstanding Clinical Specialty Preceptor of the Year by the University of Tennessee Family Medicine Program.

The entire OBHG clinical team was honored with the Preceptor of the Year award from the Bellevue Women’s Center Family Medicine program in Niskayuna, New York.

Site Director Dr. Dympna Weil was invited to the residents' annual graduation ceremony and says she was shocked when it was time to present the award. “I was humbled that they awarded Preceptor of the Year to our ENTIRE TEAM of OB hospitalists! They mentioned each member in their presentation and I felt fortunate to be there to receive it on behalf of our team."
