Clinic and On-Call OB/GYN

The Opportunity

As an Ob Hospitalist Group Clinic and On-Call OB/GYN, you will care for the assigned obstetric and gynecology patients who visit women’s clinics housed within or connected to our partner hospitals, and may also oversee a Certified-Nurse Midwife and/or Nurse Practitioner.

This role includes on-call duty on weeknights and weekends. You will not be required to stay on hospital premises when on call, but will need to be within a 30-minute drive of the facility. Lodging will be provided, or lodging costs will be covered by OBHG.

Routinely recognized in the top tier of California hospitals by independent consumer healthcare groups, Marshall's Emergency Department is a verified Level III Trauma Center, and its Birth Center has been designated as a Baby Friendly® certified facility for breastfeeding advocacy.

The facility currently sees about 540 annual deliveries.

The Location

Placerville, located in El Dorado county, is part of the Sacramento metropolitan area. The town is famous for its role in the California Gold Rush and is included in the fabled 'Mother Lode' area. Sitting in the Sierra Nevada foothills between the Sacramento Valley and Lake Tahoe basin, Placerville is located just off Highways 50 and 49.

About a 45-minute drive from Sacramento proper, Placerville offers historic landmarks, a buzzing downtown, numerous shopping and dining experiences, charming bed and breakfast accommodations, local wineries and farms to explore, and an abundance of local outdoor family and dog-friendly activities.
