Jane van Dis, MD, FACOG,
Medical Director for Business Development

Dr. Jane van Dis, MD, FACOG, is a Board Certified OB/GYN who joined OBHG in July 2013 after six years in practice. She brings with her a wealth of clinical and academic knowledge, having previously served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota Department of OB/GYN, Director of the Medical Student OB/GYN Clerkship, and as an Associate physician with Kaiser Permanente.

Dr. van Dis serves as an OB hospitalist in Burbank, CA. She is currently a member of the Board of the Society of OB Hospitalists (SOGH), where she chairs the Governance Committee. She has previously served as chair of the Annual Clinical Meeting for SOGH and is also an editor on the Core Competency Committee of SOGH. She recently served as vice chair and chair of ACOG Section 3, District IX, as well as the chair of the Department of Obstetics & Gynecology at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital.

Dr. van Dis graduated from the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine and completed residency at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). Her areas of interest include OB simulation training, health information technology, and virtual and narrative medicine.
